Why NOTE C1?
NOTE C1 is a Norwegian course that is colorful, exciting, interactive, and unique. Join us on an interactive journey through various topics rooted in academia, scholarly tradition, and general culture! The course works on both PC, mobile and tablet. NOTE C1 is a course created by NOTE employees with extensive experience and higher education in Norwegian language and pedagogy.
The course includes around 200 interactive exercises and 300 grammar tasks, 15 original videos, and 20 listening exercises featuring dialects, recorded audio for several texts, many images, and a variety of speaking and writing activities. The course is suitable for participants with a B2 level in Norwegian.
What is it?
NOTE C1 is a course suitable for individual learners as well as companies looking to strengthen Norwegian language skills from B2 to C1. NOTE C1 consists of 9 chapters and a grammar section. The chapters are divided into 9 different main categories. The course is also designed to meet the competence goals in the Norwegian curriculum for adult immigrants (level C1). In this course, you will find:
- 5–10 subchapters with exercises in each chapter.
- 13 speaking tasks and 28 writing tasks.
- 20+ listening exercises and 35+ reading exercises
- 10 grammar topics
- 300+ grammar exercises
- 10 review exercises
- 5 presentations of different dialects with exercises
- 10 grammar videos by Norsklærer Karense (with Norwegian subtitles)
Dictionary
The course includes an integrated dictionary from the Norwegian Academy’s Dictionary (NAOB), which is a monolingual Norwegian dictionary. It is built into the course and can be used alongside your activities in the course chapters. NOTE also recommends using the LEXIN online dictionary for multilingual support. In addition, word explanations are integrated into most of the written and spoken content throughout the course.

Teaching with a tutor
We offer group instruction at the C1 level, with 2 hours of daytime classes and 2 hours of evening classes per level, per week. Teaching takes place through video calls. All of our Norwegian teachers have extensive experience and several of them are examiners on the Norwegian test for HK-dir (Kompetanse Norge). These classes provide a great opportunity for those who want to strengthen their Norwegian skills.

Is the course approved?
Our school is approved by UDI and HK-dir (formerly Kompetanse Norge).
All our courses have fixed periods
When you buy a course from us, it’s for a fixed period of time. The course start and end dates are clearly specified in the email you receive when you gain access to the course. The course thus has a start date and an end date. You cannot use the course after the end date. If you want, you can get access for longer by purchasing more months. If you do not use the course during the course period, it cannot be reopened for you later, as the course period will have ended. Then you have to buy a new course to gain access again. We can not pause the course if you are ill or going on holiday. This means that the course period cannot be stopped once it has started.
