What is it?
NOTE B1 is a course suitable for those who have an A2 level in Norwegian. The course helps you advance to a B1 level.
The course is compatible with PC, mobile, and tablet. NOTE B1 is a course created by us at NOTE. The course includes various types of tasks. Here, you’ll work on reading, listening, grammar, and writing.
You’ll learn about various topics, such as life in Norway, daily life, sports and leisure, nature and geography, work, technology, culture, and much more. You can follow the course structure, working from chapter 1 to chapter 11, or choose your own sequence. It’s up to you!
The course also includes oral tasks that you can submit to a teacher. The teacher provides feedback and tips on pronunciation and how you can improve your Norwegian speaking skills.
There are over 30 written tasks in the course. You can submit your written texts to a teacher who will provide feedback, corrections, and grade your text. You’ll also receive tips on how to achieve a B1 level in writing.
Many of Karense’s YouTube videos are integrated into the NOTE B1 course.
NOTE B1 also includes 1 hour of online instruction with a teacher for each month you purchase access to the course. The lessons are conducted via video calls. All our Norwegian teachers have extensive experience, and several of them are examiners for the Norwegian test by Kompetanse Norge.

Is the course approved?
Our school is approved by UDI and HK-dir (formerly Kompetanse Norge).
Are you applying for permanent residency in Norway? Or citizenship? This course provides approved hours. UDI approves a maximum of 48 hours per month for online courses.
All our courses have specific durations.
When you enroll in one of our courses, it’s for a specified period. The course’s start and end dates are clearly specified in the email you receive when you gain access to the course.
The course has a start and end date. You cannot access the course after the end date. If you wish, you can extend access by purchasing additional months.
If you don’t use the course during the course period, it can’t be reopened for you later, as the course period would have ended. You’ll need to purchase a new course to regain access.
We cannot pause the course if you are sick or on vacation. This means the course period cannot be halted once it has started.
