Why NOTE A2?
NOTE A2 is a Norwegian course that is colorful, exciting, interactive, and different. Join us on a journey around Norway, from south to north! The course has more than 70 original videos, narrated audio for all texts, many images, and varied tasks.
What will you get?
NOTE A2 is a course suited for you if you have an A1 level in Norwegian. The course helps you progress to an A2 level.
NOTE A2 has 18 chapters and one chapter on pronunciation. In each chapter, you learn about a municipality in Norway, in addition to another topic from the Norwegian A2 curriculum.
In each chapter, you will find:
- Introduction to the municipality
- A minimum of 5 task pages on a topic from the curriculum.
- 1 oral task
- 1 written task
- 1 set of listening tasks
- 1 set of grammar tasks
- 1 review task
There are a total of 18 oral tasks in the course, which you can submit to a teacher. The teacher will provide comments and tips on pronunciation and how you can improve your spoken Norwegian.
The course includes 18 written tasks. You can send the texts you write to a teacher. The teacher gives you feedback, corrects and sets the level of your text. You will also receive tips on what you can do to reach A2 level in writing.
The course includes 18 grammar resources. These feature videos from Norsklærer Karense, with subtitles in both Norwegian and English. All the videos come with tasks to practice the grammar.
Note A2 includes a dedicated section on pronunciation. Here, you can watch videos with a teacher who demonstrates pronunciation and provides tips on how to improve your pronunciation. The pronunciation section also includes tasks.

Tutoring session with a teacher
NOTE A2 also includes 1 hour of online lessons with a teacher per month that you purchase access to the course. Teaching takes place through video calls. All our Norwegian teachers have extensive experience and several of them are examiners for the Norwegian test for Kompetanse Norge.
We also offer group classes at the A2 level, with 2 hours of daytime lessons and 2 hours of evening lessons per level, per week. These sessions are optional and provide a great opportunity for those who wish to strengthen their Norwegian skills.
The course works on both PC, mobile and tablet. NOTE A2 is a course created by us at NOTE. The course includes many different types of tasks. Here you work on reading, listening, grammar and writing.
Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for you if you have an A1 level in Norwegian and want to study at an A2 level. It is also a great course for you if you are preparing for the Norskprøven.

Is the course approved?
Our school is approved by UDI and HK-dir (formerly Kompetanse Norge).
Are you going to apply for a permanent residence permit in Norway? Or citizenship? This course gives you approved hours.
UDI approves a maximum of 48 hours per month for online courses.
All our courses have fixed periods
When you have a course with us, it is for a fixed period. The course start and end dates are clearly specified in the email you receive when you gain access to the course.
The course thus has a start date and an end date. You cannot use the course after the end date. If you wish, you can extend your access by purchasing additional months.
If you do not use the course during the course period, it cannot be reopened for you later, as the course period will have ended. Then you have to buy a new course to gain access again.
We can not pause the course if you are ill or going on holiday. This means that the course period cannot be stopped once it has started.
