Intensive Theory Course for the Trade Certification Exam: Health Care Worker

Practical Information

Dette er et intensivt kurs med tett oppfølging, skreddersydd for å gjøre deg klar til eksamen. This course is ideal for those with 3-5 years of experience in the field who want structured support in preparing for the trade certification exam.

• Admission requirements: Minimum Norwegian at B1 level and approximately 3 years of experience in the field

Target audience

This course is designed for adults who want to train as Health Care Workers through the practical candidate scheme. There are no formal prerequisites, but we recommend participants have 3–5 years of experience in health and social care. Language proficiency should be at least B1 level (CEFR) or higher.

Course Delivery

The teaching takes place in a digital classroom. You follow the course from home via PC or tablet, using our learning platform. Here you will find course materials, assignments, and messages from the instructor. The course includes exam preparation with previous exam questions.

The Practical Candidate Scheme

To take the trade certification exam as a practical candidate, you must document at least 5 years of relevant, approved work experience and have passed the interdisciplinary theoretical exam. The County Vocational Training Office assesses and approves the work experience.

Exam

The course concludes with a written interdisciplinary theoretical exam.
Registration is done through the county’s website within the applicable deadlines. You are responsible for registering yourself for the exam.

Funding

The course can be paid for by the participant, NAV, the employer, or others. Many trade unions offer scholarships, for example through the LO Education Fund. Course materials are not included in the price.
