Description
Written Norwegian B2 is a course for those who are planning to take the Norwegian language test and aim to pass the written exam at the B2 level. The course will be held online in a group setting, so you can live anywhere and still participate. The course corresponds to the Norwegian language exams held in 2026.
There are 25 spots available in the course. The course consists of a total of 50 hours. One hour is counted as 45 minutes (also known as a school hour).
The course will focus on the four assessment criteria of the Norwegian language exam:
– Text structure
– Spelling and punctuation
– Vocabulary and expressions
– Grammar
The grammar section will especially focus on constructing sentences and connecting them together. The writing section will cover how to build a paragraph and an argumentative text as a whole. There will be 2 assignments each week. We will work on both complaint letters and argumentative texts, which are the types of tasks you get on the B2 written Norwegian exam.
All assignments will be related to current topics that may appear on the Norwegian exam. It is important that you write the texts without any aids so that we can properly assess them and help you in the best possible way. We correct all the texts you send. We also tell you what you need to do to get the text up to B2 level if you are at B1. Our Norwegian teachers have extensive experience, with several of them being examiners on the Norwegian test for Competence Norway. The texts will be corrected with feedback, level assessment, and tips on what you need to do to improve your writing. We will cover topics related to the Norwegian curriculum for the B2 level. Some of the themes in the course will include work life, politics, school and education, health and welfare, environment, and climate.

Last class day: Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Classes are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funding
The course can be financed by the participant themselves, NAV, the employer, or others. Many trade unions also offer grants, for example through LO’s Education Fund.
The teacher of the course is Nina Brigitte Langtvedt
My name is Nina Brigitte Langtvedt, and I will be your Norwegian teacher for this course. I am 63 years old and live in Drammen, a city not far from Oslo. I have worked as a Norwegian teacher for many years and have had students from all over the world, which I find very exciting. I have three grown children — one daughter and two sons — and seven grandchildren. I also have a dog that I walk every day.
I enjoy reading, hiking in the forest and mountains, and I have a strong interest in languages and grammar. For over 10 years, I have worked as an examiner for the written Norwegian exam for HK-dir (formerly Kompetanse Norge). I have graded over 10,000 Norwegian exams and have extensive experience in assessing these tests. In this course, I want to help you pass the B2 written exam, and I’m really looking forward to meeting you!

INTENSIV B2 skriftlig har vært både lærerikt og inspirerende. Jeg har lært mye på kort tid, og det har virkelig hjulpet meg til å bli tryggere i skriftlig norsk.
Takk for en god opplæring, Nina! Jeg har endelig fått B2 skriftlig. Jeg prøvde å bestå denne prøven flere ganger, men det var først etter kurset hos dere at jeg oppnådde målet mitt.
