Online group courses
Prefer learning together with others rather than alone? Our online group courses combine the flexibility of studying from home with the structure and motivation of a live class.
What an online group course looks like
Each group course runs as live video sessions with a real teacher, at a set day and time each week. You see and hear your classmates, take part in discussions, and get corrected in real time, similar to a physical classroom but without the commute.
Groups are kept at a manageable size, so quieter students still get called on and get real speaking time, not just listening time.
Day and evening group options
Because adult learners have very different schedules, group courses run at different times, including evening groups for people working full time during the day and daytime groups for those with more flexible schedules.
- Evening groups for working professionals
- Daytime groups for flexible schedules
- Level based groups from beginner to advanced
Why group learning works for many adults
Studying with a group creates a light social pressure that keeps motivation up, especially in the weeks when self-study alone would quietly slip. Hearing classmates make similar mistakes also normalises the learning process and reduces anxiety about speaking.
Group discussion naturally forces active use of the language, rather than only passive reading or listening, which tends to speed up real progress.
Choosing your group course level
Groups are organised by level, from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for higher level exams, so you always practise with people at a similar stage.
If you are unsure which group fits you, take the free Norwegian level test before choosing a group to join. NoTe (Norwegian Teaching AS) is approved by UDI and HK-dir.
