Written Norwegian B2 is a course for those preparing for the Norwegian test and aiming to reach B2 level in the written exam. The course is online in groups, so you can join from anywhere, and it is aligned with the 2026 Norwegian tests.

There are 25 spots available, and the course consists of 50 hours (45-minute teaching hours).

The course focuses on four main assessment areas:

Text structure
Spelling and punctuation
Vocabulary and expressions
Grammar

Grammar training focuses on sentence building and linking ideas. Writing focuses on paragraph structure and how to write complete argumentative texts. You will write two assignments per week, including complaint letters and argumentative essays similar to the exam tasks.

All topics are based on current issues that may appear in the test, such as work life, politics, education, health, and environment. You must write without aids so your level can be assessed properly. Teachers give detailed feedback, level assessment, and advice on how to improve from B1 to B2 if needed. Several teachers are experienced examiners for the Norwegian test.

Right of withdrawal

For online courses, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies in accordance with the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, as long as the course has not been used for more than one hour. For online group courses with a teacher, the course is considered started once the first teaching session has begun. After this, no refund is given.

Financing

The course can be financed by the participant, NAV, an employer, or others. Many trade unions also offer grants, for example through LO’s education fund.

Yes, it is. You can see that our school is approved by UDI and HK-dir, the authority responsible for approving providers of Norwegian language and social studies courses. Our approval is valid until 31 December 2028, and it will be renewed for an additional three years as part of a standard renewal process. We have already been approved for seven years.

Can I receive a course certificate upon completion?

Yes, you can. You will be able to download your course certificate directly from the course once you have completed it. You can also send an email to post@note.no, and our administration team will assist you.

Do I need to take a test before or after completing your course?

No, you do not need to take any tests. We have no admission requirements and do not conduct tests or exams. Our courses are open to anyone who wants to improve their Norwegian language skills.

Can my company pay for the course and receive an invoice?

Yes, that is possible. If your employer is paying for the course, please contact us at post@note.no so we can send you an order form instead of placing the order through our website. Once the completed form is submitted, we will invoice the company based on the provided information. After the invoice has been issued, the student will be granted access to the selected course.

Meet Your Instructor

Nina Brigitte Langtvedt

Nina Brigitte is an experienced Norwegian language teacher with a passion for helping adult learners achieve their language goals. Through years of teaching and examining candidates at the B2 level, she has developed a practical and supportive approach that gives students both the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. She has worked with Norwegian language instruction, primarily at the B2 level, for many years, both in adult education and at Note. In addition, she has extensive experience as an examiner for both the written and oral B2 Norwegian exams. Her goal is to teach her students everything they need to pass the exam. She believes it is important not only to explain the grammar, but also to help students understand why the language works the way it does, rather than simply telling them that “that’s just how it is”. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is hearing from former students who tell her that they have achieved their dream of passing the B2 exam.
