Academic Norwegian B2-C1

Planning to study at a Norwegian university or work in a field that demands precise, high level Norwegian? This academic norskkurs B2-C1 is built for exactly that.

Who this academic B2-C1 course is for

This course is aimed at adults heading toward higher education admission, professional certification, or roles where advanced written and spoken Norwegian is a real requirement, not a nice extra.

It suits learners who already have a solid B2 foundation and want to push their accuracy, range and confidence toward C1.

What academic Norwegian at this level involves

You work with longer, more complex texts, including academic and professional genres, and train writing that is structured, precise and appropriately formal. Grammar work targets subtle distinctions that matter in formal Norwegian rather than only basic correctness.

Speaking practice covers presenting arguments, discussing abstract topics and responding to counterarguments, the kind of communication expected in seminars and professional meetings.

Preparing for Bergenstest and similar exams

Many students at this level are working toward Bergenstest or comparable higher level Norwegian exams required for university admission. The course covers relevant text types, listening formats and writing tasks in a structured way.

Rather than only drilling test format, the course builds genuine academic language skills, so the level you reach holds up in real studies afterward, not only on exam day.

How to start the academic B2-C1 course
